Change your password, check for updates, link Discord, and sign out.

In the Kith Workshop desktop app

The Account page is the housekeeping. Your sign-in, your Discord link, your display name, updates, and the way into this guide.

What is on it

Section	What it is for

Linking Discord

This is the one that matters most. Your Discord identity is what ties the app to the rest of Kith.

Open Account → Discord.
Click to link and approve the prompt.
Your avatar and handle appear on the Home Screen.

With Discord linked, the app can show your LFG runs, your Market activity and your orders. Without it, those tools work but cannot tell who you are.

Tip: Unlinking does not delete anything. It just stops the app matching you to your Discord identity until you link again.

Connecting characters and game files

What you want	Where to set it up
Identify yourself to Kith online	Link Discord on Account.
Save a character's build and role	Use Character Profile.
Read drops from game chat	Set up Game chat logs here, then enable the LFG watcher.
Import vendor sales and purchases	Add each character's mail folder in Sales Ledger.

Saving a profile does not enable game logging or import mail. Linking a folder does not mean all your character's stats update from the game.

Game chat logs

Find your SWG Restoration installation. If you do not know its location, right-click your game shortcut in Windows and choose Open file location. If that opens another shortcut, repeat there. Look for the installation containing x64 and profiles. Your installation may be on a different drive.
Open x64 → profiles → your game account → Restoration. The account folder is your game account, not your Discord name or character name.
A typical path is C:\SWG Restoration\x64\profiles\<your account>\Restoration. Replace <your account> with the folder you see; do not type the angle brackets. This folder holds files named like <id>_chatlog.txt.
In Kith, open Home → Account → Game chat logs → Browse to your Restoration folder…. Select the Restoration folder, not a text file. It saves automatically after a successful scan.
Read the results. Saved confirms the folder was stored. Named rows show logs Kith could identify. A saved folder can still have unnamed logs; read the explanation beside each row.
In game, type /log and confirm Chat logging ON. This is a toggle; typing it again may turn logging off. Play a session, then Rescan if a log was empty or could not be labelled.
Follow Chat-log Loot Watcher to enable capture for a run. Saving the folder alone does not start recording a run.

What you see	What to try
No chat logs found	Check the folder, enable logging in game, play and rescan.
Several accounts	Browse into the account you play, then its Restoration folder.
Folder saved, character unnamed	Read the row's message. More chat or first-person loot evidence may be needed. LFG Auto can still use the saved folder.
Game moved or reinstalled	Browse to the new folder and check the saved path.
Need to start over	Reset forgets the saved folder and character chat-log links after confirmation; then browse again.

Help while using a tool

Click ? Help on a member tool's left edge to open its guide in your browser. The tool stays open with your work intact. Resources Help follows the active Live Resources or My Inventory tab. The full Training Guide remains available on Account; its text is bundled with the app. Web guides and screenshots need an internet connection.

Changing your password

Account → Change password.
Enter your current password, then the new one twice.
Confirm.

Updates

The Workshop checks on its own, but you can force it:

Account → App updates → check.
If one is available, install it. The app restarts.
A What's new note lists what changed.

Note: Updating does not touch your saved data — inventories, builds, linked characters and settings all survive.

Signing out

Signs you out and returns to the login screen. Your data stays on the machine; you will not lose anything.

If something goes wrong

Problem	What to do
Discord link will not complete	The browser window needs to finish and return to the app. Do not close it early.
Password change is rejected	The current password is wrong, or the new one does not meet requirements.
"Check for updates" finds nothing but you know there is one	Releases roll out in stages. Wait, or reinstall from the download page.
Your display name is not what shows in Discord	They are separate. This one is for Kith; Discord's is Discord's.
