The BE Pet Engineer covers the Restoration 3 Bioengineer pet-crafting system. It has seven tabs: a recipe lookup to find how to make any mutation, an Inventory of your pet materials, a Hydrolase calculator to plan enzyme refining (purity and mutagen), a Re-Proc Batcher that groups your elements into combines, an Isomerase / Geothermal incubation-cap calculator, a Mutation Chance calculator, and an Incubation Planner.

Tab 1 — Recipe Lookup
  • Use the Search by target dropdown: Appearance mutations only shows recipes that change how a pet looks; All combos includes stat-only recipes; By base creature lets you search by DNA source animal.
  • Use the Lyase color dropdown to filter by the color of Lyase enzyme needed.
  • Type in the Filter field to search by pet name. Results update instantly.
  • Each result card shows the recipe: the required Lyase color, which Isomerase slots to use (top vs. bottom), and the evidence count from community reports — higher evidence means more players have confirmed that combo.
Tip: "top iso" means the High-Quality (HQ) Isomerase slot; "bottom iso" means the Low-Quality (LQ) Isomerase slot.
Tab 2 — Inventory

Tracks everything a pet costs: Enzyme Elements A–E, the Hydrolase they re-process into, your Isomerase and Lyase enzymes, DNA samples and Geothermal energy. It is stored on your own machine — nothing is uploaded.

There are three ways to get materials in.

Enter it — pick the material, fill in its values, press Add to inventory. Only the main value is required: purity for an element or hydrolase, a colour for an Isomerase or Lyase. Use How many identical to add a stack of matching items in one go.

Paste a note — write your stock into an in-game note, one item per line, then paste the whole thing in. Elements are letter, purity, mutagen, processed:

Only the letter and purity are required on an element. Put a label first (Krayt run, D, 21.4) and a count last (A, 20.0, 7.8, t, x3). The number on a DNA line is its quality % — optional, but record it: the Mutation Chance tab reads it, and DNA quality is the single biggest ingredient in mutation odds. Blank lines and # comments are skipped, and any line that can't be read is reported back to you rather than silently dropped. Fill from my inventory goes the other way — it writes your current stock out in the same format, ready to copy into an in-game note.

Capture from screen — open the item's Examine window in game, line the capture box up over the stat panel with 👁 Show area, then press 📸 Capture or your capture hotkey. What it reads drops into the Enter it form so you can check it before saving. Windows desktop app only.

Tip: Capture is verified against the Enzyme Element panel. The other materials are read best-effort, so check the values before you save them.

In the stock table, uses one, + adds one, edits the row and 🗑 removes it. Each of those can be undone from the message that appears.

Tab 3 — Hydrolase Calc (Refining Calculator)
  • Set Input enzyme purity and Input enzyme mutagen — the numbers on the raw hydrolase you are starting with.
  • Set your Genetic Engineering skill level. Use the quick-set buttons: base 100 (no expertise), live +120 (with expertise, no Resto bonus), Resto +125 (R3 max).
  • Set the Target purity. The hard cap out of the re-processor is 20.0.
  • Select the Start stage: 1 — raw hydro (all 3 stages), 2 — element (processor + re-proc), or 3 — processed (re-processor only).
  • Fill in the Hardware stats (Centrifuge, Processor, Re-processor) and Consumable stats (Tray, Canister, Capsule) — each machine has both a purity and a mutagen stat, and both refine through the same math.
  • The Result section shows the purity and mutagen range after each stage and the final chance to reach target purity as a percentage. Mutagen has no 20.0 cap — chase it when you're hunting mutations, and hand the refined range straight to the Mutation Chance tab with the link under the result.
Tab 4 — Re-Proc Batcher

The re-processor takes one of each Enzyme Element (A, B, C, D, E) per combine, and the hydrolase it returns is built off the average purity of those five. This tab reads the elements out of your Inventory and works out the groupings that produce the most passing combines from what you have.

  • Set Combine average must reach — the average purity a group has to hit to be worth running.
  • Or press one of the quick-set buttons to work that number back from the Hydrolase Calc: Guaranteed target (reaches your target purity on any roll), Coin-flip (~50%), or Best case.
  • Leave only processed elements ticked so the planner uses just the ones that have been through the Element Processor. Untick it to include the rest.
  • Keep groups lean swaps used elements down for weaker spares wherever a group still passes, so your strongest elements stay in reserve for the next batch.
  • Press Optimize combines. Each result row is one re-process combine, best average first, with the elements held back listed underneath.

When you actually run a combine in game, press ✓ Combined on its row. Those five elements come off your inventory, and you get the chance to book the hydrolase they produced — the purity box is pre-filled with the expected result and the range it should land in.

Tip: Got it wrong? Undo on the confirmation puts all five elements straight back.
Tab 5 — Isomerase / Geothermal

The 🌋 Incubation Cap Calculator. Enter your Geothermal Overall Quality (OQ), your BE Incubation Quality skill, your Incubator Quality rating (the incubator item's stat, max 4.0), your Focused Enzyme Manipulation skill mod (max 10), whether an Entertainer buff is active, whether the egg uses Legacy DNA, and the HQ / LQ Isomerase % you actually have. It returns:

  • the HQ (top) Isomerase % needed to cap DPS/Armor at your skills — or a warning that no isomerase can, if your buffs fall short;
  • the LQ (bottom) Isomerase % needed for full lyase stats (computed, and usually far below 90);
  • the DPS/Armor bonus at egg formation your actual isos would produce, with exactly how far short of the cap you are;
  • your lyase stats over three sessions, against the +4.8 / +48.0 maximum;
  • a reference table of OQ vs the isomerase needed, recomputed live from your skill inputs.
Tip: Focused Enzyme Manipulation is what makes the cap reachable. Each point adds +2 to the incubation multiplier — more than geothermal OQ contributes across its whole range. At FEM 0, three perfect sessions sum to ~1.90%; at FEM 10 the same egg reads ~2.17%, which rounds up to the 2.2% cap (2.3% with Legacy DNA). The +25 skill, incubator rating, OQ and the Entertainer +1 feed the same multiplier in smaller doses — buff up before you formulate.
Tab 6 — Mutation Chance

Estimates your mutation chance per incubation session from six ingredients: DNA Quality % (max 130), your HQ and LQ Isomerase %, the Hydrolase mutagen value, Incubator Quality (max 4.0) and the Fervent Mutation skill mod (max 9). The six bonuses add, the total caps at 18, and the chance rounds to a whole percent; a breakdown table shows what each ingredient contributes and its share of the total, plus your odds of landing at least one mutation over two or three sessions.

DNA quality is the biggest single ingredient and mutagen is a quarter of the ceiling — so record quality on your DNA samples and mutagen on your hydros in the Inventory, and the From your inventory line under the inputs will offer your best of each as a one-click fill.

Tab 7 — Incubation Planner

Pick a GoalCapped 60-point pet (no mutation), Mutation hunt — raw 8 method (8-20-20), or Mutation hunt — 12-point method (20-20-12) — and the planner shows the per-stage nutrient split (Health / Action / Mind) to use during each incubation session.
