🔑 Getting started
Sign in with Discord, set your timezone, tell the board what you play, and choose which DMs you want.
Five minutes, once. After this the board shows every run in your own time, knows which seats you can fill, and only messages you about things you asked for.
Everything hangs off your Discord identity — your seats, your rank, your run history. There is no separate password.
- Open the Shuttleport.
- Click Sign in at the top right.
- Approve the Discord prompt. You land back on the board, signed in — your Discord avatar and name appear at the top right.
You can browse the board without signing in. You need to sign in to take a seat, post a run, or see the Mine tab.
- Open the Me tab.
- Under Defaults, choose your Home timezone.
- Click Save defaults.
From now on every time on the board is shown in your local time, and when you post a run and type "friday 8pm", it is read in your zone. The same setting is shared with Discord (/lfg timezone).
Also under Me → Defaults:

| Role | Your default role. The board's Needs my role filter and the orange "2 need a Healer" banner use it, and one-click seats default to it. |
| Run-call lead time | How many minutes before departure the bot DMs you a reminder (default 30). |
If you play more than one character, the Characters tab holds all of them — name, species, faction, default role, profession, visibility (guild or private) and a skill-build code from the Skill Calculator. Make default marks the one that pre-fills your seats. Characters sync with the desktop app's Character Profile; gear is edited there.
Link a desktop app (on Me or Characters) shows a pairing code, XXXX-XXXX, that signs the Kith Workshop desktop app into the same Discord identity — type it into the app's Link Discord box. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes. See LFG Board for the desktop side.
Under Me → DM preferences, each kind of message has its own switch:

| Waitlist updates | you join the standby list, or a seat opens for you. |
| Removals and declines | a leader removes you — with their written reason, word for word. |
| Reschedules | a leader changes the start time. |
| Run calls | it is your reminder time before a run, or the roster needs people. |
| Subscription matches | a run you follow is posted. |
| Milestones | you rank up, hit a sherpa milestone, or earn a badge. |
The bot never sends the same message twice, and it never DMs you about a run you are not on unless you subscribed to it.
Under Me → Subscriptions, pick an instance and (optionally) a role and click Subscribe. When someone posts a public run for that instance with an open seat of that role, the bot DMs you — at most once every 15 minutes, and never if you are already on the roster. /lfg subscribe in Discord is the same list.
Under Me → Calendar links (and on the Calendar tab):
- Guild feed — every scheduled public run for the next 30 days. Subscribe (webcal) adds it to Google or Apple Calendar and it stays current.
- My signups — a private feed of just the runs you are on. Click Generate my feed once; Rotate replaces the link if it ever leaks.
