The Kith Guide › The Shuttleport
🚏 The Shuttleport — start here
What the Shuttleport is, how a run moves from posted to done, what changed from the old bot, and where to read next.
The Shuttleport is where Kith organises heroic runs. Someone posts a run, people take the seats their character can fill, the board counts down, the group sets out, and when it is over the loot is decided in front of everyone and every clear is written to the ledger. It is one board with three doors — the website, the LFG Board inside the desktop app, and the Wayfinder bot in Discord — and whichever door you use, everyone sees the same run.
The old LFG bot did one thing: it posted a run and let people say they were coming. The Shuttleport does that too — and if that is all you want from it on your first night, you can stop there and it works the way you expect: open the board, click a run, take a seat.
Everything else is optional and only shows up when the run leader turns it on. Here is what is new, and whether you need to care yet:
| New thing | What it is | Do I need it on night one? |
|---|---|---|
| Seats by role | A run has a set number of Tank, Healer, Squad Leader, Battle Med, Ranged DPS and Melee DPS seats. You take one. | Yes, but it is one click — pick the role you are bringing. |
| The board countdown | Every run shows when it leaves in your local time, and the board counts down. | Only set your timezone once (see Getting started). |
| Loot on the run | Drops are recorded on the run — by the leader, or automatically from the game's chat log by the desktop app — and decided in public by group roll, Need/Greed, or a pick order. | No. The leader picks the loot rule; you just press the button you are offered. |
| Wish list | Up to five drops you would like from this instance, remembered for next time. | No. It only matters if the leader wraps up loot while you are away. |
| Ranks and the ledger | Every clear counts toward a rank; every drop you win is on your record. | No. It happens on its own. |
| Discord threads, voice, DMs | Each run gets its own thread and a private voice channel at set-out; the bot DMs you the things that concern you. | No. They appear when they are relevant. |
Forming -> Gathering -> Underway -> Wrap-up -> Done (:flow)
| State | What it means | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Forming | Posted, seats open. | Take a seat, go tentative, add wishes. |
| Gathering | Leaving within 30 minutes, or every seat is full. | Same as Forming — this is the board's "get ready" colour. |
| Underway | The leader hit Set out. Attendance is being kept. | Nothing, unless you are late (say so) or the leader asks for a Need/Greed choice or a pick. |
| Wrap-up | The leader opened the loot window. | Change a Need/Greed choice if you want to; otherwise your wish list speaks for you. |
| Done | Loot and run credit are in the ledger. | Collect what you won from the leader and press Received. |
| Called off | The leader cancelled it. Everyone on the roster was DM'd. | — |
| Went quiet | Nobody set it out and its time passed. | — |
| Page | Read it when… |
|---|---|
| Getting started | It is your first time: sign in, set your timezone, tell the board what you play. |
| The board and taking a seat | You want to find a run and join it — including tentative, running late, standby and invites. |
| Posting a run | You are leading. Every field on the form, the plain-language times, weekly repeats, templates, invite-only runs. |
| Leading a run | You have posted and people are joining: the leader's desk, set out, attendance, recording drops, wrapping up. |
| Loot — the three ways | You want to understand group roll, Need/Greed and pick order from both the member's and the leader's side. |
| Chat-log Loot Watcher | You lead from the desktop app and want drops, boss kills and stats recorded straight from the game's chat log — including the in-game !stat command. |
| Ranks, ledger and your record | You want to know what counts toward rank, what the badges are, and where your history lives. |
| Wayfinder — the Discord side | You would rather do it from Discord: every /lfg command and every card the bot posts. |
| Troubleshooting and glossary | Something looks wrong, or a word on the board is unfamiliar. |
