🤖 Droid Engineer
Design a droid loadout, get the crafting BOM, and plan experimentation and skills.
The Droid Engineer is a full planning workbench for crafting droids on Restoration III. Because modules are permanent once a droid is assembled, you plan the whole loadout up front: pick a chassis, drop modules into its sockets, and the tool computes the droid's stats, a complete crafted-component and raw-resource shopping list, an experimentation calculator, and a checkable DE skill tree. All figures are planning estimates to verify in-game.
The Tabs
| Tab | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⚙ Loadout Designer | Configure the droid on the left (chassis, build name, module sockets); the right column shows the live Droid Summary, the Bill of Materials, and the Save / Share / Export controls. |
| 📖 Reference | Filterable Droid Models, Droid Chassis, and Module Catalog. Click Design ▸ on a Droid Model (or BOM ▸ on a chassis) to load it into the Designer. |
| 🧪 Experimentation | Pick a schematic, see which resource stats drive each experiment property, and enter candidate resource stats (0–1000) for a live weighted result. |
| 🌳 Skills & Unlocks | A checkable Droid Engineer skill tree plus a live "What You Can Make Now" panel. |
| 💡 Builds & Guide | Meta builds, Restoration III droid-systems notes, and pain-points/tips. |
Designing a Droid
- Pick a Chassis / droid model from the dropdown — or click + Start from a meta build in the ⚙ Configure Droid header to jump to the Guide tab and load one with Build this ▸ — then name it in Build name.
- Each socket is a card — choose modules from its dropdown. Combat modules add a Combat Rating input (1–110).
- The summary updates live (Combat Level, armor, item storage, harvest, auto-repair, etc.) and flags validation warnings (e.g. more than one personality, too many storage modules, a socket over capacity).
- The Bill of Materials tallies every crafted sub-component and raw resource — a combat droid can need 30+ sub-components, so generate this before you craft.
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| 💾 Save build | Saves the build locally; saved builds list with Load / ✕ buttons. |
| 🔗 Copy share code / 📥 Load share code | Copies the build as a share code, or pastes one in to load it. |
| 🧾 Export shopping list | Saves droid-shopping-list.txt (quality-critical components flagged with *). |
| ⌨ Export macro | Saves droid-macro.txt with the /tellpet programming commands. |
Tip: Resource quality only matters for about 10 module types. The Experimentation tab flags which schematics are quality-sensitive — aim for a weighted Effectiveness of ≥ 960 for a shot at 100%, and ≥ 93% to make level-based modules perform one level higher.
